Helios came to Elite as a free-lease arrangement in April 2024. He arrived with a severe pre-existing fetlock injury, which meant he couldn’t join the lesson program right away. His owner came out every single day to care for him, and after four months of dedicated treatment and rest, Helios finally healed.

Although his auction papers described him as a “kids’ horse,” Helios has shown a rather opinionated side under saddle—often expressing his thoughts with a bronc-style outburst moments after mounting. Because of this, he is underwent focused training, and is a full member of the lesson program now!

Helios also came from CYB and is a grade Appaloosa gelding born around 2010, full of personality and potential.
