Walter

Walter arrived at the farm in 2020, during Brittney’s search for her next competitive mount. She loaded up the trailer and drove to Moncton to try a horse that had been advertised—but what she found was nothing like what she expected.

Walter was smaller than described and overflowing with anger and chaotic energy—a challenging mix. During their first interactions, he blew through doors, pushed through people, and even fell while on the lunge line. He was defensive, unpredictable, and clearly carrying a lot of history. But despite all the red flags, something in him resonated deeply with Brittney. She saw past the turmoil and decided to bring him home.

His journey since then has been a testament to patience, persistence, and the power of good horsemanship. Understanding Walter’s personality and earning his trust wasn’t easy. There were plenty of ups and downs along the way, but Brittney never gave up on him. With time, consistent training, and guidance from supportive professionals, Walter began to transform.

He’s still full of that spirited, wild energy—but now it’s paired with softness, confidence, and a willingness to learn. Today, Walter not only continues to be Brittney’s partner, but he has also grown enough to participate in the school program, winning over riders with his unique charm.

Walter was born in 2014 (we think), stands 14.2 hands, and is believed to be a Morgan cross—possibly with a touch of Fjord in the mix.
