Bruce is Brittney’s husband Thomas’s horse—and his story began Christmase 2021. Thomas and Brittney sent a long wish list to Amanda at Count Your Blessings Farm in Ontario, hoping to find the perfect match. Their criteria were clear:

• over 16 hands

• gelding

• draft cross

• unstarted

Bruce checked every single box… with one small surprise: he was also an ex-bronc. The wild side of both Brittney and Thomas couldn’t resist, and they decided to take a chance on him.

Working alongside Brittney, Thomas learned how to start a horse from the ground up and eventually took on the task of breaking Bruce himself—a huge accomplishment and a bonding journey for both of them. Bruce is also a full member of the riding school now!

Today, Bruce has blossomed into a talented and versatile mount. He is now being ridden by Molly (yes, the same Molly who works with Jack), and together they’ve gone to shows, clinics, and are even tackling cross-country courses.

Bruce is a 17.2-hand, draft cross gelding born in 2017 with a big presence, a big stride, and an even bigger heart.
